A Fort Wayne man has been charged with ziptying a woman and raping her last month.

Seth A. Morken, 27, of the 800 block of Heartland Drive, was charged Monday in Allen Superior Court with rape, a Level 3 felony; criminal confinement, a Level 5 felony; and sexual battery, a Level 6 felony, according to court records.

The victim called police May 13 to report she was ziptied by two intoxicated men and raped by one of them at a residence.

According to the probable-cause affidavit, the woman identified Morken as the man who allegedly performed a sex act on her, cut the ties and threw her stuff outside. The woman called her ex-fiance to take her home and was examined at the Sexual Assault Treatment Center later that night, and an examination revealed the woman had injuries consistent with someone who was ziptied.

A search warrant was executed May 14 at the residence where the alleged rape took place. Crime scene technicians found zipties, cut zipties, a used condom wrapper and bodily fluids.

Police found Morken and the other man June 13 at Morken's residence. Officers reportedly smelled raw and burnt marijuana inside the house, as well as a digital scale, foil "boats," a small baggie next to two prescriptions of Morken's that contained 1.1 grams of a green leafy substance that test positive for THC, glass smoking pipes and four large heat-seal-type plastic bags containing marijuana residue in the garage, according to the affidavit.
